On the 1st & 2nd of March 2023, Rudaw Research Center will hold the 2nd edition of the Erbil Forum. The Erbil Forum 2023 titled "Turning Points and the Future of the Middle East" will be held in partnership with several research centers as well as regional and international institutions.
Many centers and institutions such as the Washington Institute, the Atlantic Council, the Wilson Center, the International Roundtable on Religious Freedom (IRF), the Italian Studies Center CESI, ORSAM, IRAM, Qamar Energy, the French Center for Studies on Iraq (CFRI), Vision Education, SEED Foundation, and Five One Labs are engaging in the event as main participants and partners in managing and organizing Rudaw Research Center’s Event.
The world and the Middle East are going through a sensitive phase full of changes. Kurdistan is at the center of these changes. The planned topics of the forum were developed based on these turning points that the region is going through. Dozens of experts, politicians, and local and international media will discuss these topics in the period from 28/2/2023 to 2/3/2023 through roundtables, interviews, panels, and keynotes.
The current world changes provide an opportunity to restructure the world order, which creates a wide wave of wars and coalition policies, an increase and change of military activities, and changes in energy markets, in addition to the economic situation, food security, and environmental changes during the increase in the gaps between the layers of society and the increase in population and the impact of technology on social and political changes. This wave includes several other topics as well.
Erbil Forum 2023 organized by the Rudaw Research Center in cooperation with its partners provides an opportunity to focus on these turning points.
